Birgitte Baadegaard is a lecturer, writer, therapist, and keen debater. With her strong voice, she continuously focuses on the challenges of women’s alleged equality in a society that unconsciously continues to favour men. With her talks, stands, and books, Birgitte draws attention and provokes critical thinking about the existing flaws in the debate on gender equality.

This talk is based on the book Lige er ikke det samme som ens, published in 2022.

During her talk, Birgitte will shed light on the following questions: Has IT always been a man’s job? And how does that relate to biases and algorithms? What do the work trends of the future look like? And how do women fit these – if we continue without questioning our current path? How can we decipher the patterns seen in the IT sector and use them in a broader perspective? And what can women add to the subject area – when and if there are enough of us?

The event is organised for the High5Girls role models network and is also open to members of the ANE engineering organisations. It will take place on Wednesday, 8th March 2023, at 17:00 at IDA, Kalvebod Brygge 31-33, 1780 Copenhagen V. The talk will be followed by networking and refreshments at 18.30.

Seating is limited, so hurry up to secure your place. It will also be possible to follow the talk online.

Registration is required before 1st March by sending a mail to: elhh@ida.dk
Please indicate in the email if you plan to attend in person or online.
